How It Works

For surface testing, the sampling prong is wiped across the area being tested before being immersed in water to activate the test. For powder testing, a small sample can be mixed with water and tested using the same procedure. Results are read after approximately 5–10 minutes.

Understanding the Results

A control line confirms that the test has operated correctly. The appearance of both the Control (C) and Test (T) lines indicates a negative result. If only the Control (C) line is visible, the result indicates the presence of cocaine residues at or above the test's detection threshold.

Detection Sensitivity

The test is calibrated with a detection threshold of 300ng/ml, enabling the identification of very small quantities of cocaine residue. This threshold has been selected to help reduce the likelihood of environmental contamination producing positive results while maintaining sensitivity to meaningful residue levels.
