HOME ALLERGY TEST
Do you have any of the following symptoms?
- Redness on the skin
- Rash
- Lacrimation
- Repetitive sneezing
If YES then you may need to carry out a basic allergy test.
The test can be performed at any time, but not in subjects younger than 15 years, as the test sensitivity was adjusted on an adult population.
Many experts agree that modern lifestyles have contributed to the increase in the prevalence of allergies, with key factors including pollution of the atmosphere, diets high in fats and low in fruit and vegetables and warm, well-insulated homes, which encourage house dust mites. Another important factor may be the lack of exposure to childhood diseases, which may cause our immune systems to seek other agents to “attack”- i.e. allergens. Allergic reactions can range in severity from the common cold-like symptoms to life-threatening anaphylactic shock. Sufferers may be unaware that allergies are triggering their symptoms.

- You have parents with allergies, asthma, eczema or hayfever
