Causes of ketone in the urine
A ketogenic diet automatically reduces the amount of carbohydrates in the body. This effect is aimed at in a ketogenic diet and causes the organism to respond to this carbohydrate deficiency. In order to ensure the supply of energy to the brain and muscles, the liver begins to form ketone bodies which are similar to sugars and can be converted into energy.
Excess ketone bodies are excreted in the urine, among other things.
