12 Parameter Urine Test Strips

12 parameter urine test strips provide one of the broadest urinalysis panels available for home and professional urine screening. A single strip can check 12 different markers relating to urinary health, hydration, glucose and ketone levels, kidney-related indicators, liver-related indicators and general metabolic health.

They are a good choice for customers who want a more comprehensive urine test rather than checking only one or two individual markers.

Our 12 parameter urine test strips test for:

  • Leukocytes
  • Nitrite
  • Urobilinogen
  • Glucose
  • pH
  • Specific gravity
  • Ketones
  • Bilirubin
  • Protein
  • Microalbumin
  • Creatinine
  • Blood

What These Parameters May Indicate

Leukocytes: The test pad detects an enzyme associated with white blood cells. A positive result may be linked to inflammation or infection in the urinary tract.

Nitrite: Certain bacteria can produce nitrites in urine. This marker is commonly used as part of urinary tract screening, although a negative result does not completely rule out infection.

Urobilinogen: A substance formed during the breakdown and processing of red blood cells. It is commonly included as a liver-related indicator.

Glucose: Detects glucose, or sugar, in urine. Raised levels may be associated with glucose metabolism issues and should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

pH: Shows whether the urine is more acidic or alkaline. Results can be influenced by diet, hydration, medication and general health.

Specific gravity: Indicates how concentrated or diluted the urine sample is and may provide information about hydration status.

Ketones: Ketones are produced when the body uses fat for energy. They may be present during fasting, ketogenic diets, low-carbohydrate diets or some medical conditions.

Bilirubin: Bilirubin in urine may be used as a liver or bile-related screening indicator.

Protein: Raised protein levels may be used as part of kidney-related and general urinary health screening.

Microalbumin: Detects small quantities of albumin in urine and is commonly used as an early kidney-related screening indicator.

Creatinine: A waste product associated with normal muscle activity. Urine creatinine may be considered alongside microalbumin and other kidney-related markers.

Blood: Detects red blood cells and blood pigments in urine. A positive result can have several possible causes and may require further investigation.

These strips are best suited to customers who want the widest selection of urine markers on a single test. Urinalysis strips are screening aids and cannot diagnose a medical condition. Unexpected, strongly positive or repeated abnormal results should be discussed with a doctor, pharmacist or qualified healthcare professional.
