11 Parameter Urine Test Strips

11 parameter urine test strips provide broad general urinalysis while also checking for ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, in urine.

They are suitable for customers who want to screen a wide selection of urinary, metabolic, hydration and liver-related markers while also identifying vitamin C, which can affect the interpretation of some urine test reactions.

Our 11 parameter urine test strips test for:

  • Leukocytes
  • Nitrite
  • Urobilinogen
  • Protein
  • pH
  • Blood
  • Specific gravity
  • Ketones
  • Bilirubin
  • Glucose
  • Ascorbic acid

What These Parameters May Indicate

Leukocytes: May indicate the presence of white blood cells or inflammation within the urinary tract.

Nitrite: May be produced by certain types of bacteria and is commonly used as a urinary tract screening marker.

Urobilinogen: A substance produced during the processing of bilirubin and commonly included as a liver-related indicator.

Protein: Raised protein levels may be associated with kidney-related or urinary health issues.

pH: Indicates whether urine is acidic or alkaline and may be affected by diet, medication and hydration.

Blood: Detects red blood cells or blood pigments in urine. Repeated positive results should be medically assessed.

Specific gravity: Shows how concentrated or diluted the urine sample is and can provide information about hydration.

Ketones: May be present when the body is using fat for energy, including during fasting or low-carbohydrate diets.

Bilirubin: May be used as a liver or bile-related screening indicator.

Glucose: Detects sugar in urine and may provide an indication that further glucose testing is appropriate.

Ascorbic acid: Detects vitamin C in urine. High vitamin C levels may interfere with certain urinalysis reactions, so this parameter can provide useful additional context.

These strips are a good choice for customers who want broad urine screening with the added benefit of vitamin C detection. They are screening tests only and should not be used to diagnose or exclude a medical condition.
