As interest in vitamin K has grown it has become apparent that a review of this ingredient, its dose and format was necessary. Because vitamin K is such an unstable ingredient, Hadley Wood Healthcare has taken the initiative to re-formulate its popular Calci-D-Min product using the latest micro-encapsulated vitamin K ingredient, known as K2VITAL. In this form, Hadley Wood Healthcare can ensure that their Calci-D-Min bone support product delivers the full 120mcg of K2 as stated on the label. In light of current evidence, the K2 in Calci-D-Min is in the MK-7 format, this is generally accepted as being the optimal form of supplementary vitamin K and helps ensure that calcium in the diet and from the supplement is directed to the bone and away from vascular tissue.

Calci-D-min is made from 100% vegetarian approved ingredients and has been formulated to help support optimal bone and joint health.

Key minerals are derived from Aquamin™ which is made from a sustainable source of seaweed that generates natural calcium as well 74 other trace minerals that are easily absorbed by the body.

Added vitamins D3, K1 and K2 and other co-factors such as boron to enhance the blend and offer your bones extra support.

Aquamin™ (seaweed extract) is fully Kosher and Halal certified and certified Non GMO. Aquamin™ is rich in calcium, magnesium and 74 other trace minerals including zinc, iron and selenium. It is produced from the red algae, Lithothamnion species, which is found in just three locations in the world, including the south-west coast of Ireland and Iceland.

Because the Calcium & magnesium contained in Calci-D-min are derived from sustainable seaweed the product is not reliant on poorly absorbed forms, such as calcium carbonate, and is therefore far more bioavailability. The naturally occuring additional 72 other trace elements (excluding the calcium and magnesium) are also included as part of the organic matrix derived from the seaweed.

Added Vegetarian D3 at 1000iu (25mcg) across the full dose of 4 capsules per day but have kept the Calcium at 600mg per day to avoid the issue of excessive intake in addition to dietary sources in the light of recent research associating accelerated cardiovascular calcification in users of high dose calcium supplements.

B-vitamns are also included to help offset homocysteine effects.

Boron is also included for its positive influence on calcium and bone metabolism.
