8 Parameter Urine Test Strips
8 parameter urine test strips provide straightforward general urine screening across eight commonly checked markers.
They are a practical choice for customers who want to check urinary tract indicators, glucose, ketones, hydration and general urinary health without requiring the wider liver-related panel included on some 10, 11 and 12 parameter strips.
Our 8 parameter urine test strips test for:
- Leukocytes
- Nitrite
- Protein
- Blood
- Ketones
- Glucose
- pH
- Specific gravity
What These Parameters May Indicate
Leukocytes: May indicate white blood cells or inflammation in the urinary tract.
Nitrite: Certain bacteria can produce nitrites in urine, making this a useful urinary tract screening marker.
Protein: Raised levels may be associated with kidney-related or urinary health issues.
Blood: Detects red blood cells and blood pigments in urine and may require further investigation when positive.
Ketones: May be present during fasting, low-carbohydrate diets, ketosis or some medical conditions.
Glucose: Detects glucose in urine and may indicate that further glucose testing is required.
pH: Shows whether the urine is more acidic or alkaline.
Specific gravity: Indicates how concentrated or diluted the urine sample is.
Eight parameter strips are a good option for simple, broad urine screening without some of the additional liver and kidney-specific markers found on larger panels.
Urinalysis strips cannot diagnose a urinary tract infection, diabetes, kidney disease or another medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional if you have symptoms or receive repeated abnormal results.
